I’m gonna get so Harry!

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , on July 13, 2009 by timothyltw

In case you’re wondering, NO i am not going to Yun Nam or some hair implant centre to get hairy.

My bro just walked into my room and told me he’s got premiere passes for Harry Potter’s latest episode, The Half Blood Prince, and he’s bringing me along as he always does! Ah so cool to have such a thoughtful bro, hehe :) It’s happening tomorrow night, can’t wait!

And oh, I’ve just came back from Miri. End up didn’t visit Brunei as the H1n1 cases there are very high. People there are just too freaking rich, travelling around the world, coming back and infecting their country mates. Managed to go over to Niah Caves however. Nice scenery but has a very stinky smell, I think it’s bat shit or some other birds’ waste. Even had the chance to drive on the land of Borneo, using my colleague’s cousin’s VIOS driving on trunk roads at speed as high as 130km/h, totally awesome :)

You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I’m telling you why, Manchester United is coming to town!! And also the chance to meet up with my two best buddies doing nothing but talking crap together. Shall blog more about it soon.

So much to look forward this week, I bet it’s gonna be a good one!

Indifferent

Was watching ESPN and the headnews  was about Ronaldo’s transfer to Real Madrid, with over 80,000 fans greeting him in Bernabau. Am not sure to feel happy or sad that he left, hence indifferent. Happy because someone big-headed, bigger-than-club player has left, but sad because such a decorative, reigning world player of the year wants to move on.

England, very nice referees, but La Liga, UNBELIEVABLE referees

He is so gonna enjoy the treatment of the referees there. LOL.

Thank God right after Sports Centre, there’s this hot dog eating competition which was rather hilarous to watch, seeing those people gobbling down endless hot dogs into their mouths. The winner ate 61 hot dogs in 10 freaking minutes! Amazing.

One tip to consume hot dogs faster. Dip the bun into water to soften it, thus easier to push into the mouth and swallow.

p/s: Heard from a friend that Singaporean guys are not as gentle as Malaysians. Anyone beg to differ? haha.

Man Vs Wild

He actually caught and cooked a skunk? Goodness gracious. And ate some awful maggots, used his shoelace to collect water, etc. He’s amazing, provided the show is surreal.

There’s no sentiment when it comes to surviving.

How true huh?

On the other hand, my mom asked whether I’ve already got a new girlfriend. I guess it’s because I’ve been sms-ing alot these few days. I hope I didn’t disappoint her with my answer. LOL. I’m enjoying every single moment I’m having now and have no plans to change, yet.

“I tried my best Pete, but I couldn’t stop him”, Andy Roddick upon his defeat to the history-making, 15th Grand Slam winner Roger Federer.

p/s: My apologies LPZ for lying that I’ve slept, the hype of the match kept me awake… lol…

pp/s: Getting extremely addicted to Russell Peters’ show. Even watched with the parents just now (my third time). Can’t help it, he’s just too good, TOO GOOD! (*with the stylo indian ascent). Trust me Yeekai you should really download and watch it. Wait, not you should, but rather, you MUST!!

Of a Mother’s Day Celebration

Posted in Uncategorized with tags on May 12, 2009 by timothyltw

From my birthday to Mother’s Day celebration, with moni’s wedding tightly squeezed in between.

Talking about Moni’s wedding, it was awesome to see someone you know get married, being tied in a vow to support each other for the rest of their lives. Moni’s so funny, she kept laughing when reading her part of the vow. Pastor mentioned she’s “extremely happy”.  Haha. Such vows, I couldn’t see myself doing it at any point of time now. Not very soon, too. Lol.

Back to the topic, the Mother’s Day celebration had been something planned for a long time, at least more than a week of sending emails back and forth. At first I can’t really see it coming together, but with God’s help, I’m glad it ended well.

It all started with 2 hours of sleep the previous night. Right after the wedding, I rushed straight to Carrefour to meet up with the Lam brothers to buy food and stuffs. The shopping didn’t end there as we hurried off to our next destination, Cold Storage, to buy fresh prawns and some other stuffs.

That was part one. Next was to go back and prepare the food. In came help from other friends and my bro to hasten the preparation of food and BBQ. Played peeling prawns with Kah Meng, haha. The parents at this moment are out in Bangsar for tea, in which they will come back to a surprise of us preparing a meal exclusively for them. The menu for the moms include 2 large prawns, a slice of grilled dory, with generous portion of mashed potato and cheese on osyter musrooms. Meanwhile, the dad had BBQ chicken.

We then adjourned to the reading room for the rest of the agenda. Had a short worship session, followed by testimony from each family. The surprise came for the Au parents as we managed to get hold of their kids in Perth to write them a testimony. The mom was so touched I think she cried a little. I bet it’s tears of joy :)

The highlight then came, an interactive presentation called “Mother’s Idol”. Haha. Something we thought could interest the moms as we got to know they all actually watch American Idol. Tasks for mom included folding formal clothes, putting a thread through a needle, and answering a question given like a beauty pageant. The dads got the priveledge of becoming the judges. We really had a good laugh over the presentation with many hilarious moments popping up :)

Lastly, we presented moms with a “Mom Idol” Certificate to show our appreciation and a flower to show our love, and a cake bought by Kevin from Dessert’s Bar which tasted oh-so-good. Am surely gonna buy cakes from there again.

That’s about it for the event. I think it really showed how much we treasure our moms and I guess they are able to feel it too through our hard work. Will upload pics once i get it from my bro.

p/s: Mom, I love u heaps!!

A Birthday Surprise

Posted in Uncategorized with tags on May 5, 2009 by timothyltw

As the title, yea it did caught me by surprise that my fellow members actually came to my house with a cake. I was already in the midst of falling asleep when they suddenly came. Am really touched by them, thanks guys! You all are worth me treating you McD’s for supper. Lol.

To come home and see a nicely decorated letter cover with a lovely card in it from the family. And a photo album of me when i was way younger, it nearly brought tears to my eyes. Indeed they are the ones who’ve been with me through thick and thin throughout my life (except my sis who came when i was 8). I’m truly blessed and I thank God for them. Love you all much.

One last surprise was when i received an email from someone who had been a special person to me. The effort put in was really touching too. Thanks and of course, you can eat the cake. It’s the thought that matters, really.

What I can say? Yes I am indeed blessed :)

Why do you pay so much for a hotel??

Posted in Uncategorized with tags on April 28, 2009 by timothyltw

Yes why do you do so? When you’d have to work the whole day and only be back at around 8-9pm?

THE GYM!!

At least for Grand Hyatt Hotel, the gym here is simply fabulous. Period.

Ok I’ll retract the period and elaborate. The gym is almost the size of a football pitch, with multi-choices of workouts to sweat on. And the treadmills are all equipped with individual television with over 40 channels to choose from. And (again) it’s equipped with microphone so you won’t distract the person beside you who might be watching Discovery and you indugling in the latest MTV.

After a tired workout, what you’d look for is a sauna, soothing jacuzzi, and nice bath. You get all of those here too of course.

Here comes the best part. As I was going for a business trip, I didn’t bother to bring my sports shoe for workout. And to my utmost surprise, the gym registrar actually provided me with a pair of Adidas shoes and a fresh pair of socks, for FREE! But don’t dream on, because they are not that stupid to give them to you, you’ll have to return it.

But still, this gym rocks big time and I’m hell sure to visit it again the next 2 days! Heck!

The Love with Tropicana City Mall

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , on April 22, 2009 by timothyltw

The first encounter was a month plus back when I was there with my family for dinner in Esquire Kitchen.

The second, which happened today, will not be one that I want to remember much.

It was a colleague’s birthday celebration, so we hopped over there for a late lunch at San Francisco Steakhouse. Pictures of food on the menu could sometimes be quite deceiving huh? Ordered this steak which came out to be two small finely sliced piece of beef, but the taste was no doubt excellent, just the size that disappointed me.

When we were done with it, we hurriedly rushed off for appointment at USJ. I was turning a corner towards the exit of the car park, when I heard a loud bang from the front right of my tyre, sort of like banging onto something. Tried moving forward a bit and realised it was a bit hard to accelerate, soon to find out that the tyre has punctured on the side of it. Couldn’t be fixed anymore, hence the need to swap another tyre. Thank God it didn’t cost as much as I would have expected. But still, unnecessary money wasted.

After work, I parked my car at the mall (AGAIN) to wait upon KM to fetch me to Klang for a meeting. No dejavu feelings, which is a good thing.

Wow, almost 2AM now and I find it rather hard to rest my head. Perhaps the ride back from Klang was rather comfortable :D

Being light-headed on Easter

Posted in Uncategorized with tags on April 12, 2009 by timothyltw

Pardon me if you see any typo in this post as I’m seriously lost (@confuesed, @ half-drunk, @tired, @ etc) while writing this. Bet I’m gonna have one hell of a hangover when i wake up from my less-than-3-hours-sleep.

Today, er, I mean yesterday, was another hell of a day. It started with waking at 7am to go for a hike with the Raleigh Team to Sg Lepuk Falls in Ulu Langat. The bunch were great and friendly, while the trip was, although tiring, but a really relaxing and fun experience. Will definitely visit this site again either with the Lams or the DRs.

Right after that, I adjourned back home for a quick shower before departing for Putra Stadium. Unexpectedly, the traffic was good and I even had time to have dinner with the Lams. It was amazing right through the presentation. everything went well with some minor glitches, but generally it was good. My makeup wasn’t that perfect after all, as I’ve got feed-backs that my eyebrows were to thick and looked that Shin Chan +_+ The number of lives saved on Friday was 75 and I certainly hope the numbers tonight surpasses it. For this is what we want for all the hardship we endure during the practices and rehearsals, to see lives being touch by the Big Guy up there.

Again, without even having any time to catch a deep breath, i had to change and rush to Zeta Bar, Hilton Central to join my collegues and an important client from Jakarta for a drink. Most of the people who were there are more older, which my collageues thereby said I looked the youngest and best loooking. I’ll take that as a compliment :P The band performing were awesome too, expecially the guitarist! Total pro-ness in the way he plays!

Hence I am where I am now, 4am in the morning and I’m well awake. BUT, I will have to force myself to sleep so I could at least looked better in the dance tomorrow. So, nitez peeps!
